Exhausted
So, recently my computer has been going to shit. And I mean, to shit. It's old, the fans have always been for shit and because of that I've had to keep the case open. Open! For the last three years! You know how much dust and crap there is mucking up the processor and everything else?
So it hardlocks now. It acts like a fucking overheating baby and stops working. Sigh.
On the bright side, Mike is the best in the world. One frustrating night, after hardlocking while tanking Morogrim, he handed me his credit card. Such. A. Sweetheart.
I bought a kit (case, PSU, mobo, chip and RAM), fans (water cooling is a possibility), drives and whatnot from TigerDirect. Took about five days to get here and it's all currently laid out on the dining room table.
And I'm so exhausted, so I'm going to bed.
Oh, we one-shot Morogrim tonight. Finally. No more fucking stupid ass wipes, I hope.
P.S. WOW, are those Warcraft character stats WRONG. Oi. Hmm, fix tomorrow? Maybe si, maybe no. Bless you, Stephen King - I love that phrase now.

Alive!
Well holy shit, I am alive.
Quick wrap-up of the last ... nine months? Work's the same. Boring, frustrating, annoying, but it's my job and if I truly hated it I would leave. Booyah!
Mike and I are good. Puppy's good, kitteh's... well, the kitteh should be taken to the vet, or at the very least the groomers. She's got bad fleas, and has taken to chewing on herself. Today I gave her flea stuff, so hopefully that will help out for the moment. A bath alone won't fix things, but I know the ointment stuff that you put on their neck will work in getting rid of any fleas in the basement. The problem is that it is just too damned warm, constantly, in the basement. So, fleas don't know that it's winter and they're supposed to be dead. Dead I say!
Speaking of dead things... my computer is quickly going along that path. For the past year, I've had airflow issues in it, which hasn't been solved by replacing fans or making sure there is a balance between in- and out-blowing fans. We're in the process of looking into a new computer for me. I want something liquid cooled, but I'm wondering if that will be a possibility. It seems that few companies are working with liquid cooling, and more seem to be pushing, 'extreme fan cooling' systems. Then there is the cost factor to add in.... All I know is that I need a new PC before spring, else I will be force to run an AC out my window to cool it. And that just blows. Cus I'll be cold then! Blankets in summer are just wrong!!
But yeah, the computer's already been playing the freezing game, starting about two weeks ago. Typically in the middle of a raid. Thankfully not during any important fights, except one night when I was in a heroic on Jarn and it locked up on the final boss. Sucky thing about that was the heroic was the daily, and since I was gone for most of the boss fight, I couldn't pick up the quest item.
Speaking of raiding. The Grim are kicking some ass. Karazhan's long been on farm, but we continued going every week until January. We'd also gotten Gruul onto farm status. January hits and we arrive into what Abric has considered our true raiding push. We're on a time schedule, and he expects us to be fighting Lady Vashj by the camping trip in June.
My memory is suckass, so I'm going according to our WWS.
Week One - Four attempts on The Lurker.
Week Two - Eleven attempts on Hydross.
Week Three, Day One - Eight attempts on Hydross.
Week Three, Day Two - Killed Hydross, on first attempt. For Lurker, we did five attempts before killing him on the sixth.
Week Four - Four attempts on Hydross before killing him on the fifth, and then killing Lurker on the first attempt.
We are awesome! Tonight we only had 20, so we broke into a Kara group and a ZA group. Our ZA group went fairly well, killing Bear, Eagle and Lynx on single attempts with a few attempts on Dragonhawk before downing him for a guild first.
