New PC Toys
Two days ago I ordered some parts from FrozenCPU, and they came in today. I got a Thermaltake Hardcano 13, and four speed adjustable fans. Links will be put in later... I want to get them put in, like now. LOL

We Still Live
Man, I just pulled up the page and was surprised at how long it's been since I last wrote. I almost feel ashamed of myself, because I realize that I have been devoting a huge chunk of time to mindless self-indulgence. What does this mean precisely? Well, World of Warcraft.
Since I last wrote, Mike had his 24th birthday. I was wholly lost on what to get him, and had put off shopping (with Dave), twice, because I was afraid that I would not find anything. Mike was no help. I would ask him what he wanted, and he would just shrug. Dave and I went to work, so that I could pick up a book on castles that Mike wanted (that he had specifically handed me at work, with his cute face on). We then went next door to CompUSA, and I picked up a iPod carrying case that could clip onto his belt. I had thought of that only a day or two prior, when he dropped the iPod pulling it out of his pocket.
Still lost on what I wanted to get him, we then went to Best Buy. The normal route into Best Buy (especially when having movies on the mind, as I was getting House of Flying Daggers for Mike), is to head straight back and run right into the video game section. Right there, glorious in it's glassed-in-ness, was a massive stack of PSPs. It took about five to ten minutes to finally settle on it.
Mike's birthday was on a Friday, which along with the following Monday, Mike and I took off from work. Thursday night, at midnight, his dad was yelling up to him, and we came downstairs. Next thing I know, Dave's like insisting he open his present. Mike won't though, which is good. The next day, when I gave Mike his presents, he was utterly shocked at the PSP. He nearly teared up, which he will readily admit to. He says that he wanted a PSP, but wouldn't even think of buying one, so it was the best present I could have thought of. Rock on, me!
Though I have to admit, Sam's present rocked too. There is so much Mountain Dew in the bedroom, that I think it's going to take him another two weeks to drink it all.
Outside of that, little has happened. Mike closed up his FFXI account, after transferring everything to Dave. (And after spending a good six hours in downloading updates, which led to about a hour of uninstalling.) He also picked up World of Warcraft. Heheh! He's already like level 23. He created another Orc Hunter, this time on a PVP server. At this moment, he has two Honorable Kills to his name (and of course no rank, as you don't get Private until you hit 25 Kills). He's also making a ton of gold in the auction house.
As for me, Sapheria is now level 42, with 61 gold and no mount (no level 42 training). Sigh! I will get the remaining 19 gold soon enough. It's just taking a long ass time. I've been trying to do the whole auction house thing, but the majority of my auctions either sell lower than I intend (like I don't put the min. bid high enough), or they simply don't sell. Whatever. LOL
NO! THOSE BASTARDS! They destroyed Speedracer by making a fucking GEICO commercial out of a clip! GAH! (Mind you, only last week did I discover that ET was ruined when it was re-released, by the guns being digitally editted out—thanks Dennis. I would never have known, having never bought the new version.)
Oh! Donna opened up her own shop, specifically designed for people who create their own glass beads. Good for her! I hope it does well; though it sounds to me like it's directed toward a very specific group of people.
I've also spent numerous hours recently reading, which pleases me greatly. At the moment, I'm actually bouncing between three books. After work yesterday I started Devil in the White City, a nonfiction description of the World's Fair in Chicago, and the murders taking place at it. Not wanting to lay down in bed with nonfiction, I picked up Flowers for Algernon, which Mom read and loved. Thinking upon her saying that, I have to say I'm surprised. There have been books she disliked due to the purposeful misspellings (a Stephen King novel comes to mind), but she read this one. I'm not far enough into it yet to give an opinion, but we'll see! Finally, tonight I was in the mood for some 'candy', so I returned to Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty erotica trilogy. I'm maybe halfway through the second book—I honestly had thought I was on the third. Oh well.
Speaking of reading, I think I'm going to return to that. Tomorrow I will write about the books I recently finished.
