Nanaca Crash
This is fucking hilarious. Someone posted the link to this Flash game on the WoW boards, to which someone replied with:
560.28
Beat that
To which I have to reply (would have replied on the board, but the thread is locked due to the initial thread being a troll): 1329.52m. Beat that.
Oh yeah, so the link to the Flash game: Nanaca Crash. Fucking hilarious.

Even in Death
I got so slaughtered by a Horde guard, while trying to run back up to the NE lands. I hadn't even seen this building before, and will have to return there with one of my Horde chars. Anyway, I get absolutely murdered, and finally make it back to my poor dead body ... to find a new friend. Heheh. I moved off into the distance, making sure that I was away from NPCs and this guy (mind you, he was a lvl 9) and rezzed. After which, I waved to him and then hearthstoned home.
I found it very cute, so I couldn't resist taking the screenshot.

My Current Screen
That's the setup for Sapheria. Screenshot is somewhat bad, due to the lack of light in it, and for that I apologize. The wolf is ShadowWolf, her wolf companion. I'm having a problem getting Shadowcat to come out of the stable. :(

A Patch, Leading to Errors
I rarely complain about WoW. In fact, outside of the first like three days, I have had very few problems with WoW. Anytime someone says this on the forums, they are instantly labeled a "fanboy" but honestly, the only games I liked by Blizzard were Diablo 1 and 2. Hell, I would play Diablo over and over again, but I'm bird-walking.
I had no problem getting the patch yesterday. After patching though, I logged in and noticed that all my AddOns were diabled, due to incompatibility. I had gone to the AddOn screen because I wanted to disable some of the UI, mostly ones I did not use (or hadn't yet configured yet, so there was no current reason for them to be running). Seeing them "incompatible" I logged out and went to Cursed Gaming to find the updater (instead of attempting to hand-correct 20+ UI). I try logging back in, and happened upon the moment when everyone was trying to log back in. I got stuck at authenticating, but as I was sitting here working on a crossword puzzle (I bought one of those page-a-day calendars for my desk), I hadn't noticed I was stuck. Until ...
Sigh. The computer started beeping. And by beeping, I mean the beeping that would occur with Mike's when his fans were not working. To quote many people on the forums: "OMGWTF!!111!1!"
I exitted quickly, and tried later. Once more I was stuck and beeping. Fuck. I give up for almost a hour, and play around with some crosswords. Once again, I try, and make it fully in, which was fine for about three-five minutes, until I started beeping again. I rebooted and tried again. This time I also watched the gauges on the front of the case, checking to see if the temp actually rose. It didn't, though the alarm sounded once more. I posted on the forums, and then they went down. Hello?! Bring the forums down for maintence directly after a patch?! /cry
Actually, I don't blame them. The forums were full of whiners. "You NERFED me!" God, I hate whiners.
That aside... forums went down. I kept thinking that it was the patch that did this to me, so I finally tried Doom 3 and almost immediately it started beeping with that game. So obviously its the video card, or the CPU. I finally just gave up and like did nothing for the rest of the night. LOL
Today after getting home from work I call the support desk. Since Cyberpower is a small company, they outsource the majority of their tech support (at least for the first year, or more depending on the contract you get with them). They go through PC Helpdesk (whom I have heard of, but cannot find any online site for ... -_-), which thus far have been very helpful. Plus, they don't outsource (in terms of their techs do speak English and seem to be stateside). When they're busy, they take your name and phone number, and call you back--which is nicer than sticking you on hold for 30 minutes--though it is deceiving when you call and it says hold time is between 2-5 minutes.
They call back about 20-30 minutes later. However, I must have gotten someone in their first week. There was more silence after "Uh, hold on" than there was talking. Sigh. Finally, he directs me into the BIOS, and has me adjust the temp before the warning sounds. Mind you, he didn't tell me which to adjust (CPU, SYS or PWM). Well, considering SYS was down to 38º celsius I moved that one up (CPU was at like 75 and PWM at 60-something).
I tried WoW again. And beeped. I almost gave up then. I was completely frustrated and feeling tired already. Mike offered to patch WoW on his computer, so that I could play there, but I told him no. Not long after, I called support again and went through the same thing: left name and number; they called back about 30 minutes later. This time the guy who was helping me knew what he was doing; and seemed to care that I knew what I was doing (to a degree). He didn't explain how to get into BIOS, he simply told me to do so. We went back and forth a bit over the temps (for shutdown and for warning), and finally I altered the CPU (up to 80 for warning) and then booted up. I went into WoW, and ran around for about five minutes. No warning, the tech and I said farewell and I went about my merry way of playing.
Heh, I just checked my account status (mostly because I could not remember the monthly fee, and I'm trying to talk Scott into getting it) and I saw that I've accumilated 12 free days, due to icky servers. Hotness.
I have a screenshot of my UIs now, but I'm feeling too lazy to upload it at the moment. ........ Wait, I can do it here. I forgot. LOL!!
(Or not. Upload screen did not want to load.)
Sapheria, my Night Elf, is now level 25. I also have some moderately well-placed rank in the guild too, as I was one of the few to make it to the meeting. Hell, I ran. I was in Stonetalon Mountains, gryphoned to Darkshore, took the 'boat' to the Wetlands, and then ran my ass through to Loch Modan, and finally over to Ironforge, and into Stormwind. I was rather impatient and instead of waiting for the tram, I jumped and ran the track. That took forever!!! I did that originally, as I didn't understand the tram, but I will never, ever, do it again!
Afterward, I went and bought my guild tabard, which is very cool. Cool in the sense that, wow, I have a tabard! LOL Plus I got myself a few new gryphon flight paths and some nice exploration expierence.
Today I played for awhile, and did not do too much. I ended up running into the Barrens to go to Rachet. After doing a few quests, I was running back toward Ratchet when I got pegged by a lvl 40 Horde guard. Gah! I had Aspect of the Cheetah on, which caused me to become dazed. I tried to switch to Monkey, and must have no actually hit the button, because it didn't change. Needless to say, my lvl 25 NE hunter got bitched by this lvl 40 Horde guard. Oh well. LOL

Ragdoll Scalamere
Skate fans may recognize that name, as a member of the Black Label team. Anthony "Ragdoll" Scalamere is Mike's uncle.
Mike had been downstairs for awhile tonight, talking with his parents and made a few random trips upstairs. At one point I saw him online and looking through email; I'm guessing it was his father's after seeing the amount of mail sitting in the box. Well, a couple minutes later he shows me a few skateboards, Anthony's. I remember once Mike mentioning that his uncle skated, but I don't think that he knew until this evening that he had gone pro; which is an amazing accomlishment. The great thing was, if you go to the last link and click on "View All Pro-Skaters" I pointed out to Mike that Anthony is listed within an amazing array of skaters, from Tony Hawk to Bob Burnquist, Bam Margera to Rodney Mullin.
Rounding out his impressive career of not needing to fit in with normal society (lucky bastard), Anthony is also lead vocalist for Sing the Body Electric. They have two songs for download off the site, and sound not half bad.
The kicker is, he lives in LA. Mike could have seen him while he was living there with me. Go figure.

Fuckin' Zombies
At lunch today, Mike and I went over to Best Buy, instead of sitting around at work, or going home. We have a very typical route through the store: video games > computer gear > video games; again > DVDs--italizied entries being optional. On the rare occasion we may slip through the CDs on the way toward the registers/exit, but that's uncommon. In our first stop, video games, I decided that I was buying another game, so that I did not get burnt out on Warcraft. Another PC game, that is. Admittedly, I have a good number of console games, and can play any of Mike's console games also. I picked up two games--two completely different games: Doom 3, and Black and White.
I carried them both around with me, as we checked out the console games, and then the DVDs (no computer stop today). Bleck. Well, okay, not bleck but ... bleck. The only thing I saw that I really wanted was seasons three and four of CSI.
I kept looking at the two games in hand, considering. They were both unusual choices. I haven't played Doom since ... well, since playing the original Doom at Zach's house when I was like seventeen. On Windows 3.1! Oi. Black and White? Well, I had been looking at that game forever. It always looked interesting.
(Note: Today—2 July 2005—I discovered this sitting in Draft status. Obviously it's not complete, but there's enough to Publish, IMO. Better that than to delete.)

Teehee!
Mike is playing FFXI at this moment. I'm very happy, because he hasn't played in almost six months, and seeing him sitting there, with a certain little smile on his face is making me very much pleased. Now he can use the clock I bought him for Christmas!
Super Bowl Sunday. Hmph. My team isn't there, but I'll support the family and cheer for the Eagles. Okay, so I just don't want the locks changed on me. Heheh.
There is a new movie coming soon, that Mike and I are going to go see (Mike promised we'd see it when it's released). Lords of Dogtown! When Dogtown and Z-Boys came out, it was in extremely limited theatres, so we didn't see it, but when Stacy, Tony and a couple of the other guys did a signing at our store... I was all over it. I got my DVD and book signed by them, and it was incredibly exciting. So now we've moved on from a documentary to a feature film. Outstanding! I cannot wait.
LOL! Michael Chiklis was just on FOX, trying to shoot a ball with TO, McNabe and (mindblank, another major Eagle) with a t-shirt gun. And speaking of Michael Chiklis, The Shield is starting season four shortly, and Glenn Close is joining the show. This could prove to be the most interesting season yet (though last season was rather intense). Hopefully S3 will be out on DVD soon, so that we can refresh ourselves. There is way too much time between seasons for that program.
Mike is annoyed that we watched S2 of Gilmore Girls in like three days. Now he's fiending for the next season, but it's likely going to be another six months until it comes out; and he won't watch the current season, because then "we would know what happens." He's so hardcore when it comes to TV shows he enjoys. Good thing he was watching Buffy since Day One. LOL
Off to Warcraft I go!
